Students and volunteers outside Canterbury MSU at 225 MAC, East Lansing

Who We Are

We are a Christian community that is intentionally anti-racist, LGBTQI affirming, caring for creation, doubting, believing, serving, and praying!

This is a home for students. A place to hang out, study, and recharge your batteries – literal and figurative. Make new friends, find support in tough times, explore questions of faith, have fun!

Follow us on Instagram and on Facebook for all the latest news!

Not Your Parents’ Church!

We meet on Thursdays at 7:30 pm at 225 MAC, half a block from the MSU campus, next door to The Riv.

students waiting waiting for poems during typewriter poetry outside 225 MAC East Lansing Our weekday gathering is usually a small group of students who hang out and share what’s happening with us. We discuss all kinds of topics that interest us – some religious and some not! We pray. We LOVE art nights and movie nights. Canterbury is a place to take a break from all the stress, drama, and busy-ness of student life. You are welcome to join us anytime!

You’ll also find us, and our friends, hanging out in front of Canterbury, trying to make everyone’s day a little brighter. We might be handing out popsicles in the summer, hot cider in winter, or St. Patrick’s day cookies. You might find us caroling during Advent or offering Typewriter Poetry! Stop and say “Hi!”
